APELC Class Notes
Objectives: APELCers 1) wrote an argument, and 2) shared their narratives.
Juniors and seniors, you completed timed-writing four today (and to think that last year at this time your peers had only completed two, and, actually, you’re up to six if you include the two introductory timed-writing papers you wrote the first day). We talked over the prompt a bit after you finished.
We closed this nine weeks then with a few of completed narratives. Thanks to Andy, Chongwoo, and Taylor for sharing their insides with us. I can certainly empathize with Andy’s tale about hospital bureaucracy, more acute because I find myself at appointments dealing with paperwork and prescriptions more often now as a father of two. I found common ground with Chongwoo’s story, as many young men who’ve had to deal with tense filial situations might. And I appreciated Taylor’s tale of being lost in Seoul. I recognize that anxiety eleven years since my own time in Korea.
Thanks to a great nine weeks, third period. We’ll hit the ground running when we get back, so please attend your homework detailed on your class page.
Have a great break.
